The File Doctor for WordPerfect 6.x. Version 2.0 (May 1996). Diagnoses and fixes corrupted WordPerfect 6.x document files. Sometimes text disappears. Sometimes your computer locks up. Sometimes WordPerfect no longer recognizes the file. And sometimes other strange things happen. Doctor6 can usually figure out what the problem is and fix it. Includes the SAVETEXT utility, for saving text Doctor6 cannot save, and TESTSIX, for high speed diagnosis of multiple files, and TEST6.DLL, so you can include Doctor6's diagnostic functions in your own programs and WPWin 6.0 macros.

WordPerfect 7, 8, 9, and 10 by stores its document files by default in WordPerfect 6.x format. But these programs include an optional "native" or "compound" format that wraps the 6.x document inside an OLE wrapper. 7to6 extracts that document and writes it to a separate file, so that programs that do not understand OLE wrappers, such as earlier versions of WordPerfect and the Software by Seidman utilities, can process it. 7to6 is not shareware. It is copyrighted freeware.
